Ingredients

Steaks

  • 500 g ribeye (2 x 250 g steaks)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • Kosher salt, to season
  • Cracked black pepper, to season

Steps

  1. Bring to room temp – Let ribeye steaks thaw at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill – Heat grill to medium-high (~375°F / 190°C).
  3. Season steaks – Brush both sides with olive oil. Generously sprinkle with salt and cracked black pepper.
  4. Sear first side – Place steaks on the grill and cook for 3 minutes without moving.
  5. Flip & sear – Turn steaks and cook another 3 minutes for a golden crust.
  6. Rest – Remove steaks from the grill, tent with foil, and let rest for 3 minutes.
