Grand Palladium White Island Ibiza Review: A 5-Star All-Inclusive Resort Near Ushuaïa
The Quick Breakdown:
The Vibe: A high-end, high-energy resort that manages to stay genuinely relaxing.
The Location: A 15-minute walk to Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.
The Cost: Expect to spend between €350–€400 per night (mid-September).
Who it’s for: If you’re looking for a 5-star all-inclusive resort near Ushuaïa, stay at the Grand Palladium White Island resort (or the Grand Palladium Palace).
From Stuttgart Gray to Balearic Blue
By mid-September, Stuttgart had officially turned grey.
You know that specific kind of German drizzle that makes you want to hibernate?
We weren't ready for winter.
We needed one last hit of salt air and house music.
So, we did the only logical thing: blasted the Vengaboys (unironically), hopped a two-hour flight, and traded our umbrellas for sunscreen.
The second we stepped off the plane, the vibe shifted.
Ibiza smells like sea salt and grilled seafood—it’s an immediate mood lifter.
Twenty minutes later, we were at the Grand Palladium White Island.
No long shuttle, no stress. Just a quick check-in and that "we actually made it" feeling.
Why We Chose It (And the Reality Check)
We had one main requirement for this trip: we needed to be within walking distance of Ushuaïa.
We already had a stacked lineup—Calvin Harris, Armin van Buuren, and David Guetta—and the last thing we wanted was to be stuck in a 4:00 a.m. taxi queue.
A few things we learned the hard way: The resort is split into two sides: White Island and Palace Select.
As White Island guests, we only had one main pool.
If you want the "Select" side (two extra pools and more bars), you’ll need to pay for the wristband upgrade (~€25/day).
Also, don't go looking for a private resort beach—it’s a public one. It’s a great beach, but just know you’ll be sharing it with the rest of Playa d’en Bossa.
My "Rookie" Moment & The Food
Being a first-timer at a high-end all-inclusive is dangerous for your ego.
I spent the first few hours genuinely stressed about the cost of the specialty restaurants.
I kept asking Duygu, “We already have the buffet, why should we pay extra for the special restaurant” and, “Are we sure we don't have to pay for this?”.
She laughed at me for a solid ten minutes when she realized I didn't understand what "all-inclusive" meant.
Resort Restaurants:
Portofino: This was the winner. We went twice. The cod confit with black-garlic foam is legit, and eating lobster while looking at the Mediterranean is hard to beat.
Sa Prunera: Our morning ritual. We’d grab a table in the sun around 9:00 a.m. with fresh coffee and mimosas (yes, they’re included).
The Bars: Daniel at the Olivera pool bar is a legend. He doesn't just pour drinks; he actually cares if you're having a good time. On our last day, he even gave us a list of his favorite local "secret" spots.
Lessons Learned
We stayed in a Deluxe Double on the top floor.
My advice? Skip the pool view.
It looks cool in photos, but those rooms face the bar and the music.
Our room was blissfully quiet—perfect for those post-Guetta mornings when you just need a dark room and silence.
The Walk: It’s a flat, easy 15-minute walk to Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.
The Airport: Don't bother with Uber. A regular taxi is about €15 and way faster.
The Water Situation: The resort gives you four cans of water a day. After that, they’re €2.50 each. Do yourself a favor: bring a reusable bottle and fill it up at the buffet.
Final Thoughts
On our last morning, we sat by the pool watching the planes fly low over the beach. It was the first time in months we felt like we’d actually slowed down.
Ibiza has a reputation for being non-stop, but at White Island, we found a way to make it peaceful. For two foodies chasing the sun, it was the perfect "one last hurrah."
