Nagare Stuttgart Review: Michelin-Recommended Sushi in Stuttgart Feuerbach

Michelin-Level Japanese Precision in Stuttgart Feuerbach

Nagare is where we went for our first Michelin-recommended sushi experience in Stuttgart—and it felt like the right place to do it.

The Vibe

Quiet and focused.

It’s a smaller restaurant, but that works in its favor. Everything feels intentional, from the spacing to how the service flows.

Compared to places like Umami or Nori, this is a completely different pace.

The Logistics

  • Location: Stuttgart Feuerbach

  • Nearest U-Bahn Station: Föhrich

  • Parking: Street parking in the area can be difficult to find, especially during peak hours

  • Price Point: €€€€

  • Reservations: Recommended

What We Ordered

We went with one 5-course and one 6-course menu.

This is the kind of place where you trust the kitchen and let them guide the experience.

Our Experience

The moment we realized this place was different was the first bite.

They started us with an amuse bouche. We didn’t know what it was, but it looked almost too nice to eat. After the first bite, it definitely amused the bouche.

We also weren’t big sake people going in. That changed here.

The pairing they recommended showed us that it’s not about picking the most expensive sake. It’s about what actually works with the dish. Each one complemented the food in a way we wouldn’t have figured out on our own.

What we appreciated most was how everything was explained. Each dish and pairing came with just enough context to understand what we were about to eat and drink.

At the same time, the service stayed subtle. The timing of each dish, how plates were cleared, and how the next course arrived all felt effortless.

We went in blind and trusted their menu. By the end, it felt like everything built on the last in a way that just worked.

Customer Service

Service is timely and attentive.

They’re always aware of what’s happening at the table, but never intrusive. You don’t feel watched, but you also never have to ask for anything.

Plates are cleared at the right time, and the pacing keeps everything flowing without the food ever sitting too long.

English-Friendly?

Yes.

The staff are comfortable in English, and the menu is available in English, so the whole experience feels easy to follow.

When We Go

We came here to celebrate our end-of-year dinner before heading back home for the holidays.

This is the kind of place you plan ahead for.

Our Verdict

Go here if you’re looking for a more refined Japanese dining experience in Stuttgart.

Especially if you want a slower, well-paced meal where the details actually matter.
