What We Ordered

We started with the pork. We switched to the chicken. We haven't gone back.

Chicken Tantanmen

This isn't a heavy pork-grease broth. It’s creamy chicken with a sesame finish and a slow-burn heat. The crispy chicken is the reason to order this; even in the broth, it keeps its texture. If you can handle a moderate kick of spice, this is the best bowl on the menu.

Chicken Miso

The no-heat version. You get the same crispy chicken but in a savory, mild broth. It’s the safe bet for a rainy Tuesday.

Edamame

Warm and salty. It usually hits the table in under 3 minutes.

Our Strategy: Beating the Line

If you go around 6:30 PM, expect a line. It can easily hit 30 minutes.

Our move is to still go, but just expect it to be busy.

If you want to avoid the wait, going after 8:00 PM usually works better. The line drops and you’ll get in much faster.

Also worth knowing. You’ll likely be seated at a shared table. We’re used to it now, but it’s something to expect.

Customer Service

Service is efficient.

Food comes out quickly, and everything moves at a steady pace. It can feel a bit rushed near closing time, especially when they start clearing things like napkins and utensils from nearby tables.

English-Friendly?

Mostly.

You can order in English without much trouble, especially for standard items like ramen. That said, the interaction is pretty quick and to the point, so don’t expect long conversations.

Our Verdict

We come here once a week when we’re already in Stuttgart Mitte, usually after running errands or doing something in the city.

It’s quick, reliable, and hits the spot every time.
