β¨ Our Twist
Steam Instead of Microwave: Using an induction stovetop for a fresher texture and even cooking. And also because we donβt have a microwave!
π Steps
Boil Water: Add enough water to fill the gap under the steamer in the pot, cover with lid, and heat until steaming.
Cook Edamame: Place the desired amount of frozen edamame in the steamer tray.
Steam Until Soft: Wait 7 to 10 minutes at medium-high heat (7 or 8 out of 10) checking for the desired tenderness.
π½οΈ Serving Recommendation
Sprinkle with Kosher salt for a classic touch & because it sticks nicely.
Toss with chili flakes and sesame oil for extra flavour.
Serve alongside soy sauce or ponzu for dipping.
π Notes for Next Time
Want a richer taste? Try steaming with garlic-infused water.
For extra crispness: Flash-cool edamame in cold water after steaming.
Try flavored toppings: Mix with furikake or toasted sesame seeds.
